Buzzards Bay, Mass -- During the week of Monday, May 24th the Buccaneer Department of Athletics will be honoring our senior student-athletes who have given so much to our department and programs over the last four years. Due to not being able to celebrate these outstanding men and women in person for the second year in a row we will be honoring them via social media and press releases on the mmabucs.com website. Below is a schedule of events for the week. 

Monday, May 24th -- Buccaneer Appreciation Award

• Recognizes institutional staff members, past and present, for their efforts in advancing the services and programs of the institution.

Tuesday, May 25th -- Buccaneer Merit Awards

• Recognizes senior student-athletes who are members of a varsity team who have combined athletic achievement with service to the institution.

Wednesday, May 26th -- Academic Dean's Award & Athletics Director's Academic Achievement Award

• The Academic Dean's Award is awarded to the senior student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average over their four-year career.
• The Athletics Director's Academic Achievement Awards are presented to senior student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher in their major.

Thursday, May 27th -- Robert E. Corradi Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Service Award, Board of Trustees Award, & Foundation Award

• The Robert E. Corradi SAAC Service Award is awarded to a senior student-athlete who has provided valuable contributions and service to the Buccaneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during their time at the Academy.
• The Board of Trustees and Foundation awards are awarded to two senior student-athletes who have exemplified the true spirit and philosophy of Division III Athletics.

Friday, May 28th -- Female and Male Athlete of the Year

• The Athlete of the Year awards are presented to senior student-athletes who have exemplified what it means to be a Massachusetts Maritime Academy Buccaneer on and off the field throughout their four-year career at the Academy.
