BOSTON, Mass. --  Sophomore Michelle Hobbs (Northwood, N.H.) registered nine kills and four service aces to lead Wentworth to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Saturday afternoon by game scores of 25-11, 25-9 and 25-5 in a match played at Tansey Gymnasium.

Junior Julie Rahilly (Nashua, N.H.) added eight kills in the triumph for the host Leopards (13-13), who also received 10 service aces from junior Nicole Wetherbee (Pembroke, Mass.) as well as four kills and a pair of solo blocks from senior Julie Bruton (Montgomery, Tex.).  Freshman Sam Curran (Quincy, Mass.) chipped in with eight service aces for Wentworth, who received 23 set assists from freshman Shannon Ponce (San Jose, Calif.).

Junior Alex Burgess-Chrost (Leominster, Mass.) collected four kills and pair of digs in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-24), who also received two kills from freshman Kelsey Pelletier (Bristol, Conn.).  Freshman Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) added four set assists and three digs for Massachusetts Maritime, which also received a kill and dig each from sophomore Ashley Button (Southfield, Mass.) and freshman Meghan Weir (North Andover, Mass.).

Massachusetts Maritime travels to Worcester, Mass. on Wednesday evening to take on Worcester State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference match that begins at 7:00 p.m., while Wentworth heads to Beverly, Mass. on Thursday evening to take on Endicott in a Commonwealth Coast Conference match that also begins at 7:00 p.m.
