Bucs Sweep Falcons to move to .500 on the Season
BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- The Buccaneers hosted Fisher College in a non-conference doubleheader on Friday in games rescheduled from Wednesday. Ahead of their weekend conference doubleheader with MCLA, the Buccaneers were victors over the Falcons 8-0 and 9-1.
Game One
The Basics

- Reagan Kerecz went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate in game one.
- Carleen Harring, Abby Pope, and Rubi Butler both had two-hit games.
- Hannah Burton, Kelsey Booker, Ab'c'de Patane, and Erin Donlan all had one hit.
- Kerecz, Burton, and Booker all had doubles for the Bucs.
- Patane and Butler both drove in two runs. Burton, Booker, Donlan, and Pope all drove in one.

- Kalia Zellmer went 3-for-3 at the plate.
- Jenna Malone and Ariana Ramos Cardona both had one hit.
- Zellmer had a double, the only hit for extra bases by the Falcons.
How It Happened
The Bucs scored twice in the bottom of the first. The first run came on a Patane ground out, scoring Kerecz from third. The second run came on a Donlan single up the middle to score Booker. The Bucs led 2-0 after one inning.
In The second, Maritime scored two more runs to make it 4-0. Burton doubled, scoring Pope and Booker doubled to plate Burton.
In the third, Butler singled to right bringing Harring across to make the score 5-0 after three.
In the fourth, Patane Singled through the left side bringing in Kerecz to score for the second time. The Bucs led 6-0 after four.
The bucs secured the 8-0 win in the bottom of the fifth scoring two more times. Butler singled to center field to bring in Harring and Pope singled to right to score Lane from second.

- Rubi Butler had a two hit game going 2-for-3 at the plate.
- Hannah Burton, Kelsey Booker, Ab'c'de Patane, Erin Donlan and Abby Pope each had one hit.
- Booker hit her second double of the day, the only extra base hit in game two for Maritime.
- Patane drove in three runs, Burton drove in two. Reagan Kerecz, Donlan, and Butler each drove in one.
- Pope scored twice and seven other Bucs scored in the win.
- Kerecz, Donlan, and Taylor Lane all had a stolen base.

- Jenna Malone had two hits in the loss. Kalia Dellmer and Alexandra Willis both had one hit.

How It Happened
The Bucs scored one in the top of the first when Donlan singled on the infield to score Booker.
Leading 1-0 in the third, the Bucs got another run on a Patane sacrifice fly to left, scoring Burton to make it 2-0 Buccaneers.
In the bottom of the fourth, Maritime scored four to take a 6-0 lead. Pope singled to the pitcher and Ashley Haller came in to score. Kerecz reached on an error on a sacrifice fly to right field that brought in Butler to score. Patane then singled through the left side bringing in Kerecz and Pope.
In the top of the fifth, Malone tripled and Zellmer knocked her in to get the Falcons on the board. Fisher trailed at that point, 6-1. In the bottom of the fifth, needing three runs to win the game by run rule, the Bucs scored the runs they needed. Butler singled to score Lane and Burton singled to left center bringing in Pope and Riley Fox to secure the 9-1 game two win.

The Bucs are on the road on Saturday for a conference doubleheader with MCLA beginning at 1pm.
