Bucs Finish 12th at WNE Race
SPRINGFIELD, Mass -- Men's cross country competed in the Westen New England Invitational on Saturday in Springfield and came away with a 12th place finish in a field of 17 teams.
The Buccaneers top finishers came in 20th, 50th, 54th, 67, and 70th. Spencer Reese was the top Bucs finisher in 20th place with a final time of 28:23 and was on a 5:43 pace.
Freshmen Cooper Ogden and Emerson Donbrindt finished 50th and 54th respectively helping the Bucs to their top 15 finish.
Troy Penney finished in fourth place for the Buccaneers, 67th in scoring, 81st overall. Griffin Corrick rounded out the top five finisher for the Bucs in 84th overall, 70th in scoring.
The Bucs beat out American International by 27 points and were behind the Western New England Alumni in 11th by a mere four points.
Maritime's next meet will be the MASCAC championships on November 2nd.
