Reese Finished Third; Bucs Take Home Second in Fuller Invite
BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- Maritime Cross Country held the 19th annual Travis J Fuller Invitational on Saturday morning at Buzzards Bay Park. The Bucs men's cross country team took home second place in the race.
Sophomore Spencer Reese, the Buccaneers top runner, finished first for his team and was third overall in the race. Freshman Emerson Dobrindt came in fifth in points and fellow freshmen Griffin Corrick and Cooper Ogden finished eighth and ninth helping the Buccaneers to a second place finish in their home event. Sophomore Cohen Buice came in 12th for the Buccaneers rounding out their top five.
The Bucs finished second to Framingham State, being outpaced by less than five minutes overall. Framingham's top five runners finished first, second, fourth, sixth, and 10th. Curry College took home third place nearly 30 minutes behind the Buccaneers overall.
The Buccaneers are idle until Saturday, October 13th when they will travel to Westfield State to take part in the James Earley Invitational.
