BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- Friday afternoon, the Buccaneers cross country teams hosted the 18th annual Travis J Fuller Invitational at Buzzards Bay Park. The women's team, in a race they do well in annually, picked up the first three finishing spots in the race to earn the team victory over Johnson and Wales and Curry.

Junior Marnay Acri-Burns finished first overall in the 5k race with a time of 23:04.3 and a mile pace of 7:26. Finishing in second with a time of 23:06.8 was freshman Buccaneers Lorelei Lee, and in third place was freshman Grace Condinho with a final time of 23:13.0. 

Maritime had four runners in the top five and finished with a score of 20 points, 19 ahead of Johnson and Wales to win the Fuller Invitational.

The Bucs next meet is on Saturday, September 30th in Boston at the Rams Invitational, hosted by Suffolk University, at Franklin Park.
