NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass -- The Buccaneers women's cross country team began their 2023 campaign at Umass Dartmouth on Sunday after Hurricane Lee forced the race to move from Saturday. In the Varsity race, the Bucs finished 35th as a team.

Marnay Acri-Burns was the top finisher for the Buccaneers in the race finishing in 219th with a time of 24:01.67. Lorelei Lee was right behind her in 220th with a time of 24:03.69. Grace Condinho finished third for Maritime in 223rd with Cadence Wasoka finishing 232nd overall and fourth for the Bucs. Sophia Ponte was the final point getter to finish for the Buccaneers in 259th with a time of 27:50.10. 

The Bucs are home on Friday, September 22nd for the Travis J. Fuller Invitational on the Cape Cod Canal as part of Maritime Homecoming Weekend.
