Men's Cross Country Finishes Fifth at MASCACs

DEVENS, Mass -- The Buccaneers men's cross country team competed in the MASCAC Championship meet on Friday afternoon and picked up a fifth place finish in the Worcester State hosted event.

The Bucs compiled 135 points in the race and finished just three points behind Framingham State for fourth place. They were 11 points ahead of Worcester State who finished in sixth.

Freshman Spencer Reese closed out his first-year campaign with a 20th place finish in the meet with a time of 29:57.76 and 18 points for the Buccaneers. Cole Guiliani and Jackson Holschuh finished 37th and 28th racking up 27 and 28 points for Maritime. Troy Penney was the next Buc across the finish line earning 30 points after his 32:38.98 finish. Collin Fine rounded out the top five for Maritime earning 32 points. Senior captain Matthew Pigott came in 44th with a time of 33:02.31.
