Volleyball Welcomes 70 Participants To Massachusetts Maritime College Coaches Skills Camp Over Weekend

The Massachusetts Maritime volleyball program hosted a College Coaches Skills Camp this past Sunday, January 29th, as 70 participants received instruction and participated in drills conducted by Buccaneer Assistant Coach Jenna Lynn Geary along with coaches from Boston College, Providence, Brown and Texas Tech.

This clinic provided participants with exposure to regional college coaches and included a question & answer session on the recruiting process.  Attendees were also afforded the opportunity to tour the Academy campus and obtain information from Buccaneer athletic department staff members.

“Providing avenues to engage our surrounding communities is something we are always striving to achieve as a department, and I’m grateful for the efforts of Coach Geary and the entire Buccaneer volleyball program for making this event happen,” Massachusetts Maritime Director of Athletics Garin Veris said of the clinic.  “We look forward to making this an annual part of our athletic calendar.”

During the current academic year, the Buccaneer softball, baseball and volleyball programs have hosted on-campus clinics, and similar events are being planned for the coming months.
