Holler Named MASCAC Softball Rookie of the Year

WESTFIELD, Mass -- Wednesday afternoon, the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) announced its 2024 Softball Postseason Awards. Buccaneers freshman shortstop Sarah Holler (Hingham, MA) has been selected as the conference's Rookie of the Year for 2024 becoming the second Bucs in as many years to win the award after Ab'c'de Patane picked up the award last season.

Holler, who slotted right into the five hole in the Buccaneers lineup this season, batted .418 with 33 hits in 79 at-bats. She drove in 21 runs, had six doubles, a triple, and a home run while only striking out three times. Sarah added three walks and five runs scored to her stat line and finished the season with a .439 on-base percentage.

In the field, the Bucs shortstop made just five errors in 111 total chances in the field posting a .955 fielding percentage and was part of six double plays turned by Maritime this season.

Congratulations Sarah on your outstanding achievement.
