Throggs Neck, N.Y. - The Buccaneer Men's Lacrosse team traveled to SUNY Maritime for their season opener and was defeated 7-6 in the Mariner Classic in the Bronx, NY.  The score was tied 4-4 at halftime and the Buccaneers took a 6-4 lead with approximately 10 minutes to play in the third quarter.  The SUNY Maritime Privateers (3-0) shut out the Bucs from that point forward and scored the next three goals for the win.  MMA (0-1) is scheduled to play Plymouth State at Clean Harbors Stadium on Tuesday, March 13 at 7:00 pm. but with the impending Nor'easter, the game has been postponed.   A new date has not been scheduled.  The Bucs will look to host Norwich University at Clean Harbors Stadium on Thursday, March 15 at 7 pm.
