Maritime Finishes 7th at IRA Meet

MERCER, N.J. -- For the first time in program history the Buccaneers men's rowing team competed in the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship events in Mercer, New Jersey June 2nd to the 4th competing in the Men's Varsity 4+ final.

In a field that included division one programs Georgetown and Wisconsin, the Buccaneers finished seventh with a final time of 8:31.474 in a boat led by captain Finn McQuenney. The Bucs were 57 seconds off the pace behind winners Coast Guard and came in behind the sixth placed finishers from Wisconsin.

Coast Guard, Marietta, and Georgetown rounded out the top three in the race with William, Catholic and Wisconsin finishing fourth-sixth. 

The Buccaneers 2022-2023 season came to an end at the IRA Championships and the Bucs will pick up where they left on in the Fall of 2023.
