Buccaneer Women's Cross Country Coaches, Student-Athletes Support "Rose's Team" At 2013 Jolly Jaunt
Members of the Massachusetts Maritime community, including women’s cross country coaches and student-athletes, participated in the 2013 Jolly Jaunt on December 8th in Hyannis to raise funds for Cape Cod Special Olympics. “Rose’s Team”, named in honor of the daughter of Buccaneer Head Women’s Cross Country Coach and Faculty Athletics Representative Linda Letourneau, more than doubled its fundraising total of a year ago in collecting over $2,000 in donations to date.
Coach Letourneau, along with Assistant Coach Annie Clark and 1/c team co-captain Liz Leonardi of Sandwich, were among those Massachusetts Maritime supporters running for “Rose’s Team”, as Leonardi took top honors in her age group in the 5K event. The Jolly Jaunt brought together hundreds of supporters, including many individuals with disabilities, who participated in running and walking the race course.
