Hunt, Rouette Honored as 2017-18 Athletes of the Year

At the annual Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s Senior Student-Athlete Award Night, Stephanie Hunt and Mick Rouette were announced as the 2017-18 Players of the Year after stellar four-year careers for the Buccaneers. Seven other awards were also given out as part of the evening.

Women’s Athletics Golf Tournament a Day to Remember

The third annual Massachusetts Maritime Academy Women’s Athletics Golf Tournament was a delightful culmination to a record-setting spring for female Buccaneer athletes. Entergy Plymouth Station and C&W Services made the day possible and the generosity of sponsors, donors, and alumni was celebrated during the evening’s dinner at Cummaquid Golf Club.

Kaylene Murphy is a two-sport athlete for Buccaneer athletics, competing in cross country and softball. Her most important athletic event, however, is the Boston Marathon. This year, our NCAA Division III Week Female Athlete of the Day is running for the second time in support of the Dana Farber Cancer Fund, with a very personal motivation for the challenge.
