Saturday morning, the Buccaneers women's rowing team took on Johnson & Wales in their second and final race of the 2021 spring season. Coming off of their win over Assumption a week earlier the Bucs were triumphant once again over the Wildcats, finishing their season undefeated.

The Bucs were bow-ball to bow-ball with the Wildcats through most of the race, showing the strength of JWU's program. In the final 500 meters, Maritime pushed out to a 15-second advantage, utilizing their exceptional conditioning and technique to power through in the building rough water conditions. After all was said and done, the Bucs pulled out the 15-second victory, 10:59 to 11:14 over the Wildcats.

The Buccaneer boat consisted of: bow Molly Pike, 2-seat Bridget Ruiz, 3-seat Victoria Carpenter, stroke was Captain Colleen Weir and Meghan Reilly was the coxswain.
