NORTH ADAMS, Mass. --  Three different players scored goals to back an eight-save effort in net from senior Kamron Anderson (Springfield, Mass.) as MCLA notched a 3-0 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Friday evening at Shewcraft Field.

Freshman Colin Rousseau (Cheshire, Mass.) gave the host Trailblazers (3-7, 1-2 MASCAC) the only goal they would need just 10:20 into the contest when he converted a feed from sophomore Ryan Wanek (South Salem, N.Y.) for his first collegiate tally, and senior Oscar Castro’s (Middle Island, N.Y.) penalty kick conversion in the 61st minute extended that margin to 2-0.  Senior Romeo Grey’s (Mashpee, Mass.) unassisted marker in the 73rd minute iced MCLA’s triumph, as Anderson made five stops over the final 45 minutes of action en route to his third win of the season.

Senior Mike Pruchnik (Rochester, Mass.) made four saves in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (2-7, 1-2 MASCAC), as Massachusetts Maritime outshot MCLA by a 27-12 margin overall (8-7 on goal) and held a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to North Dartmouth, Mass. on Tuesday evening to take on UMass Dartmouth in a non-league outing beginning at 7:00 p.m., while MCLA travels to Danbury, Conn. on Tuesday evening to square off with Western Connecticut in a non-league match that also begins at 7:00 p.m.
