Football Set To Tackle 10-Game Schedule During Cameron's 10th Season At Helm This Fall

Though the summer sun is doing its best to warm the beaches of Cape Cod, the start of the 2014 Massachusetts Maritime football season is just about 10 weeks away, and with that Head Coach Jeremy Cameron is busily preparing for the challenges of another 10-game schedule that awaits his Buccaneers.

Cameron, who has guided the program to four straight winning seasons for the first time since the late 1980’s, begins his 10th season at the helm on Thursday, September 11th when Massachusetts Maritime travels to Throggs Neck, N.Y. to take on SUNY-Maritime in the Seventh Annual Chowder Bowl that kicks off at 7:00 p.m. EDT.  The Buccaneers then open their home slate looking to defend another traveling trophy on Saturday, September 20th by squaring off with rival Maine Maritime in the 42nd Annual Admiral’s Cup at Clean Harbors Stadium, which is set for a Noon EDT start.

Massachusetts Maritime will also host MASCAC foes Worcester State (on Homecoming), Western Connecticut State, Westfield State and Framingham State, and the Buccaneers will hit the road for league clashes at Fitchburg State, UMass Dartmouth and Plymouth State as well as a visit to rival Bridgewater State for the 36th Annual Cranberry Bowl Presented By Ocean Spray on Saturday, November 15th in the regular season finale.
