DEVENS, Mass -- The Buccaneers women's cross country team competed in the MASCAC Championship meet on Friday afternoon in Devens, Ma. In the meet, hosted by Worcester State, the Bucs finished fifth out of the seven conference teams in the races. 

Maritime finished the meet with 142 total points, 11 behind Fitchburg State for fourth place and beat out Worcester State by 18 points.

Lorelei Lee was the top finisher for Maritime in the 28th position and earned 24 points for her team. She completed the 5k course in 24:03.04. Fellow freshmen Cadence Wasoka and Grace Condinho finished 33rd and 35 respectively with times of 24:36.20 and 24:45.30. Wasoka earned 27 points for the Bucs and Condinho earned 28. Massiel Leon and Sylvia Mattraw-Johnson rounded out the top five scorers for Maritime earning 31 and 32 points to complete the teams 142 points, fifth place finish in the meet.
