Men's Cross Country Looks To Make Run At Second MASCAC Crown With Rigorous 2017 Schedule In Slattery's Third Season

With an experienced group returning to the fold, the Massachusetts Maritime men’s cross country team is looking to make a run at the program’s second Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference crown this fall.  Head Coach Chris Slattery’s Buccaneers will face another rigorous regular season slate that leads up to both league and regional post-season competition during his third year at the helm.

Slattery’s squad begins the 2017 campaign on Saturday, September 9th at the University of New England Invitational, and following events at both UMass Dartmouth and Gordon, Massachusetts Maritime will host the Lt. Travis J. Fuller Invitational on Friday, September 29th in a different venue for the first time ever, as this year’s race will take place at the Massachusetts Military Reservation in Bourne.  The Buccaneers will wrap up regular season competition with invitationals at both Westfield State and Emmanuel in early October before heading back to Westfield State on Saturday, October 28th for the 2017 MASCAC Championships, and the season concludes on Saturday, November 11th with a visit to Southern Maine for the NCAA Division III Regional Championships.
