Women's Rowing Competes at Dad Vail Regatta

Pennsauken, N.J, -- The Buccaneers women's rowing team closed out their 2022-23 season in New Jersey at the Dad Vail Regatta, hosted by Thomas Jefferson University. Dad Vail is one of the largest Collegiate rowing events in the country. The Bucs picked up a second place finish in the women's varsity fours and picked up a top five finish in another event.

Marina Stephens led the women's varsity fours to a second place finish in the event on SAturday afternoon finishing at 8:33.896, less than six second behind the winners from Franklin and Marshall. Maritime finished just under three seconds ahead of Nazareth in third.

Stephens led the Bucs on in the women's varsity four preliminary race on Friday morning in which the Bucs finished eighth at 8:23.868, just two seconds behind Cabrini in seventh and were two full seconds ahead of Nazareth in ninth.

In the women's varsity fours semi final on Saturday morning, Stephens and her boat finished fourth to earn a spot in the finals. The boat finished with a time of 8:41.167, six seconds ahead of Nazareth in fifth and 14 seconds behind the boat from Rollins.
