WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Massachusetts Maritime men's cross country team closed out its 2010 season with a solid 29th place team finish among 49 schools competing at the 2010 NCAA Division III New England Regionals Saturday morning hosted by Williams College at Mount Gryelock High School.

Seniors Patrick Dannaher (Arlington, Va.) and Paul Matz (Plainville, Mass.) closed out their careers by placing 114th and 177th, respectively, in a field of 333 runners for the Buccaneers, as Dannaher covered the 8K layout in a time of 28:10.7 and Matz posted a time of 29:18.4. Freshman Brent Schouler (Hyannis, Mass.) was next in 188th place with a time of 29:35.9, while senior Brian Maniglia (Pennsille, N.J.) and freshman Steven Migridichian (Shrewsbury, Mass.) rounded out the Massachusetts Maritime scoring by placing 222nd and 235th, respectively, with times of 30:28.8 and 30:43.4.

The Buccaneers finished fourth among MASCAC entrants in the competition, which was won by MIT with a team score of 93 points. Host Williams (101 points) and Brandeis (139 points) finished as the runner-up and third place squads, respectively.
