BOSTON, Mass -- In their final regular season meet of 2021, women's cross country took part in the Suffolk Invite, a 6k course, at Franklin Park in Boston on Saturday. Individually, the team had four runners finish in the top 50 of a field of 106 runners including a top finish of 29th.

Senior captain Lily Hakkarainen (Chesterfield, MA) was the top finisher for Maritime with a time of 28:30.7 and a split of 7:38.8. Senior captain Sarak Smialek (Dartmouth, MA) finished 34th crossing the line at 28:45.5. Deidre Kelly (Quincy, MA) was the third place finisher for Maritime with a time of 30:31.1. Evangeline Gosselin (North Andover, MA) and Chloe Arnold (Gochen, CT) finished 50th and 51st respectively to round out the point getters for the Bucs.

Maritime will have next week off before competing in the MASCAC Championships on Saturday, October 30th at Fitchburg State University.
