WESTFIELD, Mass -- Wednesday afternoon, the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference released their 2024 women's lacrosse postseason awards. Buccaneers freshman attacker Sarah Naar (Milton, DE) has been selected as the conference's Rookie of the Year after her outstanding performance on the field in 2024.

Naar scored 46 goals this season, second most by a Bucs freshman in their first season in Buzzards Bay. She notched eight assists this season and picked up 27 ground balls while causing eight turnovers on the defensive end. 

Sarah becomes the second player in program history to earn the Rookie of the Year award and is the first since the 2018 season. 

Also receiving All-MASCAC second team honors, Naar is the only freshman in the conference to receive postseason honors.
