WILLIMANTIC, Conn -- The Buccaneers men's track and field team competed in the Bonnie Edmondson Classic as Eastern Connecticut on Saturday. Liam Higgins continued his success in the javelin throw as he tossed a final throw of 59.29 meters to win the event.

Tyler Fountain finished fifth in the event with a throw of 47.81 meters and Jhoodson Charles picked up a 10th place finish throwing 40.23 meters. 

In the men's 200 meter dash, Nikos Biskaduros finished ninth with a time of 23.75 seconds. Then, in the 100 meter hurdles, Biskaduros finished in third place with a time of 16.63 seconds. 

Back in the throwing events, Higgins finished third in the shot put as he three 11.78 meters in the final of the event.
