Men's Track & Field Competes in Fitchburg

FITCHBURG, MA -- Men's track & field competed in their second meet in as many days as they took part in the Jim Sheehan Invitational hosted by Fitchburg State on Saturday.

In the men's 100 meter dash, Matthew McFarlane was the top Maritime finisher in 13th with a time of 12.44 seconds. Demetri Boozer finished right behind him in 14th, just a 10th of a second behind at 12.45. Sean Gibson came in 16th at 12.51 seconds.

Gibson was the top Buc finisher in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.96 seconds. Sean Donohue finished in 16th at 25.08.

Zach Cohran finished in 14th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.22. He was the only Buccaneer to compete in the event.

Liam Dow finished in the top 10 in the discus, picking up a ninth place finish with a throw of 32.71 meters. 

William Campbell finished tops for the Buccaneers in the javelin with a throw of 38.02, good for 11th place.

Anthony Childs was the only competitor for Maritime in the long jump. He finished 14th with a jump of 5.24 meters.

The Bucs are at Connecticut College on the 15th & 16th of April for the Silfen Invitational.
