Patane and Booker Earn NFCA All-Region Honors

LOUISVILLE, KY -- Friday afternoon, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their 2023 All-Region teams for Division III. Buccaneer freshmen Ab'c'de Patane and Kelsey Booker were selected to the All-Region 2 two second and third teams respectively.

Patane, who was named MASCAC Player and Rookie of the Year earlier this week, earns the All-Region selection as the second team third baseman after a fantastic season for the Bucs. She finished third in the nation in batting average at .531, hit a program record seven home runs for the Bucs and was tops in 10 offensive categories in the MASCAC this season. Ab'c'de racked up 60 hits this season with 50 runs batted in to go along with 17 doubles and three triples.

Booker earns her first piece of hardware as a Buccaneer as the All-Region third team catcher. Kelsey finished the season as one of the toughest hitters to strikeout in the nation with just six strikeouts in 128 at-bats in 2023. She batted .430 with 55 hits and 29 runs batted in and was right on Patane's tail in most offensive categories in the MASCAC all season.
