Men's Rowing Novice Eight Finishes Second at Head of the Snake

SHREWSBURY, Mass -- The Buccaneers men's rowing team took part in the Head of the Snake Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond, hosted by the Quinsigamond Rowing Association, over the weekend and had a strong showing.

The Bucs Collegiate Novice Eight boat finished in second place behind WPI with a time of 15:36.937, 11 second ahead of the UMass boat behind them. The field included eight total teams, mostly division one rowing programs.

Maritime's collegiate eights boats competed in a large, 25-boat field and finished 22nd and 25th in their heat.

The Buccaneers will be off next week as they prepare for the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles River on Sunday, October 22nd.
