LOWELL, Mass -- Saturday morning the Buccaneers took part in the Riverhawk Challenge hosted by UMass Lowell. The Bucs finished first in the men's varsity four and novice fours and won the varsity eights and novice eights events.

In the men's novice fours race the Bucs finished 22 seconds ahead of UMass Lowell's A boat with a time of 9:25.72 to take home first place.

In the men's varsity fours, the Bucs finished first with a time of 7:52.16, more than 10 seconds ahead of Merrimack in second place with a time of 8:03.05. 

The Bucs were the only team in the event to field an eight-man boat and finished the varsity race at 7:53.23 and the novice race at 8:29.00. 

The team is back at UMass Lowell on Saturday, April 29th.
