Bio
Scott Beardsley was a four-time selection as most valuable pitcher for MMA. He holds school records for most strikeouts in a season (85), game (14) and career (223). Beardsley was selected to the All-Conference and All-New England teams his senior season. When granted an opportunity for a tryout in the Cape Cod Baseball League in 1993, Beardsley made the most of it by earning a spot on the Cape League All-Star Team. Pitching against the best Division I players in America, he compiled a 1.88 ERA and struck out 41 in 48 innings by midseason. He later signed to play pro baseball in the Independent League before resuming a successful career in engineering.
