FINAL:              MASSACHUSETTS MARITIME 1, FISHER 1 (DOUBLE OVERTIME)

MEDFORD, Mass. --  Junior Stephanie Hunt’s (Brookfield, Conn.) goal in the 61st minute of play lifted Massachusetts Maritime to a 1-1 double overtime draw with Fisher in a non-league college women’s soccer match played Tuesday evening at Hormel Stadium.

Hunt converted a feed from freshman Jessica Baldassini (Middleboro, Mass.) on the tying tally (her seventh of the season) for the visiting Buccaneers (4-3-1), as junior Julia Schojan (Rochester, N.Y.) had given the host Falcons (3-5-2) a 1-0 cushion in the 52nd minute with her 20th goal of the year.  Massachusetts Maritime had the better chances in the two extra sessions, as the visitors took eight of the 12 combined shots in overtime.

Freshman Sara Coffey (Norton, Mass.) made 10 saves in goal for the Buccaneers, while junior Paige Ciavarro (Lynnfield, Mass.) made 21 stops in net for the Falcons as Massachusetts Maritime outshot Fisher by a 42-17 margin overall (22-11 on goal) and held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Salem State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference outing on Friday afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium beginning at 3:00 p.m., while Fisher heads to Franklin, Mass. on Saturday afternoon for a non-league match with Dean that begins at Noon.
