Lee Named To 2010 MASCAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Team
Massachusetts Maritime senior midfielder Stephanie Lee was named late last week to the 2010 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer all-conference team in a vote of the league’s eight coaches, as she becomes the first student-athlete in the three-year varsity history of the Buccaneer program to earn all-conference accolades.
A resident of Acton, Mass. and a graduate of Scarsdale High School, Lee earned second team all-MASCAC honors for her efforts this fall, as she started in all 14 matches for Head Coach Christine McCarey and shared the team lead in goals with four while ranking second in overall scoring with 10 points. Lee was named as the MASCAC Player of the Week on September 13th after netting the first hat trick in school history in Massachusetts Maritime’s 4-0 season-opening victory at Becker, and she registered a pair of assists in a school-record setting 7-0 triumph over Wheelock on September 28th.
The Buccaneers set a program record with three victories in just their varsity campaign under McCarey, including a 5-0 win at Pine Manor on October 13th. Lee is one of five Massachusetts Maritime student-athletes to earn all-MASCAC honors in their respective sports this fall.
