BOSTON, Mass. --  Senior Lindsey Lacourse (Scarborough, Maine) scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner 5:57 into overtime, to lift Wheelock to a 2-1 non-league college women's soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Tuesday evening at Winsor Field.

Lacourse converted a feed from sophomore Haley Butler (Yarmouthport, Mass.) on the deciding tally for the host Wildcats (1-6) after she had given Wheelock a 1-0 advantage in the 34th minute of play with her first goal of the season.  The score remained that way until the waning minutes of regulation when freshman Kim Courcy's (Warwick, R.I.) breakway tally with 4:58 remaining evened matters for the visiting Buccaneers (0-8), setting up Lacourse's heroics in the extra session for the hosts.

Sophomore Allie Chiesa (Medford, Mass.) picked up the win in goal with a seven-save effort for Wheelock, while freshman Rachel Johnson (South Chatham, Mass.) made 13 stops in the setback for Massachusetts Maritime as the Wildcats outshot the Buccaneers by a 24-13 margin for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Westfield State in a MASCAC outing on Friday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium beginning at 6:00 p.m., while Wheelock travels to Leicester, Mass. on Saturday afternoon for a New England Collegiate Conference match with Becker that begins at 1:00 p.m.
