CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Sophomore Alyson Durben (Stow, Mass.) notched a hat trick and an assist for seven points as Lesley remained unbeaten on the young season with a 6-0 non-league college women's soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Saturday afternoon at Edwards Field.
The host Lynx (5-0), who have yet to surrend a goal defensively to date, jumped out to a 4-0 advantage at the break on the strength of two goals from Durben as well as single markers from junior Jodi and her freshman sister Jenna Fralick (Woburn, Mass.), including a pair of tallies that came 35 seconds apart late in the opening 45 minutes of play. Jodi Fralick added her second tally of the afternoon on an assist from her sister 3:53 into the second half, and Durben completed her hat trick in the 53rd minute of action to close out the scoring.
Jenna Fralick and senior Lani Cabral-Pini (Wilmington, Mass.) each recorded a pair of assists in the win for Lesley, which also received a helper from freshman Haley Puckhaber (Lake Placid, N.Y.). Freshman Miranda Matson (Gigs Harbor, Wash.) made one save to pick up the win in goal for the Lynx, while freshmen Emily Welsh (Shelton, Conn.) and Colleen Fissette (Dracut, Mass.) combined for 12 stops in net for the visiting Buccaneers (1-2) as Lesley outshot Massachusetts Maritime by a 34-1 margin.
Massachusetts Maritime hosts Coast Guard in a non-league match on Wednesday evening at Commander Ellis Field beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Lesley heads to Wenham, Mass. on Tuesday afternoon to take on Gordon in a non-league outing at 2:30 p.m.
