Llewellyn and Naar Receive All-MASCAC Honors
WESTFIELD, Mass -- The MASCAC announced its 2024 women's lacrosse postseason awards on Wednesday afternoon. Cassie Llewellyn (Fairfield, CT) was named to the first team for the second consecutive season and freshman Sarah Naar (Milton, DE) was selected to the second team to go along with her nod as the conference Rookie of the Year.
Llewellyn, receiving her second first team All-MASCAC honor, becomes the first student-athlete in program history to be named to the conference's first team twice in their career. This season, the Bucs senior midfielder scored 47 goals and had 20 assists for a total of 67 points. She scored 14 times from free position, picked up 42 ground balls, and caused 20 turnovers from the Buccaneers midfield.
Naar, who was also named the conference's Rookie of the Year, is the only freshman in the conference represented on the postseason awards. Sarah scored 46 goals this season, second most by a freshman in program history, and had eight assists. She tallied 27 ground balls and caused eight turnovers from the Bucs front line.
Congratulations to Cassie and Sarah on their achievements this season.
