Massachusetts Maritime junior Zachary Poh became the second Buccaneer in as many seasons to earn Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-New England honors in the men’s discus on Saturday afternoon, as he notched a fourth place finish at the 2014 championships hosted by Springfield College.

Poh, a native of Bridgewater, Mass. and a graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School, posted a mark of 43.93 meters (144 feet, 1 inch) in the event won by MIT junior Ken Cooper with a toss of 50.17 meters (164 feet, 7 inches).  Last spring, Massachusetts Maritime senior Robert Gratzer (Pembroke, Mass.) earned Division III All-New England honors with a similar fourth place finish in the discus at the 2013 Division III championships at Colby.

Poh has qualified for the 2014 ECAC Division III Championships, as he will compete in the discus on Friday, May 16^th at 2:00 p.m. EDT on the campus of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
