Game One

How It Happened

The Buccaneers spread their scoring out over the five innings of play in game one. They began by scoring four runs in the top of the first innings. In the top of the third, the Buccaneers took the eight run lead to put them in a spot to win their first game of the season by mercy rule, and they added three additional runs in the inning to take an 11-0 lead after two and a half innings.

In the bottom of the fourth, Pine Manor got on the board, scoring two runs on a Feven Bedard-Khalid (Miami, Fla) single.

The Bucs added a 12th run in the top of the fifth as Ovadek hits her first career home run to run the score to 12-2. In the bottom of the fifth, needing three runs to escape the five-inning loss, the Gators scored once. The game ended, in favor of the Buccaneers, 12-3, after five innings.
