Game One

How It Happened

In the top of the third, the Buccaneers took the eight run lead to put them in a spot to win their first game of the season by mercy rule, and they added three additional runs in the inning to take an 11-0 lead after two and a half innings.

In the bottom of the fourth, Pine Manor got on the board, scoring two runs on a Feven Bedard-Khalid (Miami, Fla) single.

The Bucs added a 12th run in the top of the fifth as Ovadek hits her first career home run to run the score to 12-2. In the bottom of the fifth, needing three runs to escape the five-inning loss, the Gators scored once. The game ended, in favor of the Buccaneers, 12-3, after five innings.
