Softball Set For 30-Game Regular Season Schedule As Bucs Begin Giammalvo Era March 16th
A new era in Massachusetts Maritime softball is set to begin this spring, as longtime assistant coach Megan Giammalvo takes the reins of the Buccaneer program for the 2013 campaign. The former Salem State standout will guide her squad through a 30-game regular season schedule that is set to begin on Saturday, March 16th with a home twinbill against Lyndon State at Alison Rollins Field that begins at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
Massachusetts Maritime will play 20 home contests (10 doubleheaders) in Giammalvo’s inaugural campaign, including MASCAC dates with Salem State, Westfield State, Bridgewater State and MCLA. The Buccaneers will also entertain Maine-Presque Isle, Wentworth, Emmanuel, Becker and Pine Manor in non-league action alongside the T.S. Kennedy and have road twinbills at UMass Dartmouth, Framingham State, Fitchburg State, Worcester State and Wheelock on tap.
