Enthusiasm continues to abound for the Massachusetts Maritime softball program, as the Buccaneers return a veteran lineup under the guidance of second year Head Coach Lindsay DeStefano in preparing for a 29-game regular season schedule this spring.

DeStefano, a former standout at Emerson College, welcomes back 10 letterwinners for the upcoming 2012 campaign, including a pair of all-MASCAC standouts in senior Holly McLaughlin (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) and junior Janelle Beaulieu (Buzzards Bay, Mass./Mount St. Charles).  Massachusetts Maritime begins the new season on Saturday, March 17^th with a St. Patrick’s Day twinbill against Lyndon State at Alison Rollins Field beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST, and the Buccaneers will play 18 contests along the banks of the Cape Cod Canal in all.  DeStefano’s squad opens conference action with a trip to MCLA on Saturday, March 31^st.
