Dinghy Sailing Wraps Up Spring Campaign With Solid Third Place Finish At O'Toole Trophy Regatta

BOURNE, Mass. --  The Massachusetts Maritime dinghy sailing team wrapped up its spring season on Sunday afternoon with a solid third place finish in the O’Toole Trophy Regatta that took place at the Keith Hartford Sailing Center.

 

Freshmen Alex Bowen (North Kingstown, R.I.) and Maya Stephani (Chicago, Ill.) represented the Buccaneers in the “A” boat, while junior Sergio Gratta (Sarasota, Fla.) and freshman Adam Bilodeau (Oka Bluffs, Mass.) comprised the “B” vessel.  Senior Emily Casella (Little Egg Harbor, N.J.), along with sophomores Braden Foster (Trumbull, Conn.), Matthew Schaefer (Stratford, Conn.) and Bogdan Shcherbyna (Ashland, Mass.) as well as freshman Megan Laurie (North Weymouth, Mass.), also competed in the event for Massachusetts Maritime, which posted a team score of 35 points on the day.  Johnson & Wales took top honors with a score of 17 points, while Salve Regina followed in the runner-up spot with 32 points.
