DARTMOUTH, Mass – Saturday morning, the men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Dartmouth to race in the Shriner's Invitational at UMass-Dartmouth. In a field of 37 teams in the women's division, the Bucs finished in 31^st. Out of 36 teams, the men came across in 33^rd.

The Buccaneer women finished the day in 31^st with a total team time of 1:56:54.55 and an average race time of 23:22.91. Lily Hakkarainen (Chesterfield, N.H.) was the top finisher for the women in 179^th place with a time of 22:12.61. Senior Meaghan Hamilton (Braintree, Mass) was the only other Maritime runner to finish in the top 200, at 199, with a time of 23:08.15.

On the men's side, Daniel Plumb (Hopkinton, Mass) posted his third top finish on the team of the season with a final time of 29:16.19 in 154^th place overall. Freshman Michael Fappiano-Puttre (New Ipswich, N.H.) finished second on the team for the second time in as many weeks. In 175^th place overall, he finished in 29:59.32. Overall, the Bucs finished with a total time of 2:31:39.60, averaging 30:19.92 per runner.

The Buccaneers are at home next weekend for the 15^th Annual Travis Fuller Invitational on Friday, September 27^th. The Race will be run on the Cape Cod Canal trail, beginning at Buzzards Bay Park. The Women's race begins at 3:30pm while the men will go off at 4pm.
