How It Happened

The majority of the first half featured a lot of play in the middle of the field by both teams. There were 12 total shots between the squads in the first 45 minutes, eight from the Bucs, four from the Blazers. The Buccaneer's eighth shot of the half was the one they made count and would eventually be the game winner. In the 45th minute, Crawford put the ball past Edge after a cross in by Pimentel. The score remained 1-0 Maritime at the half.

The second half began the way the first half ended, with a Maritime goal. Seven minutes into the second 45 Lutz netted his first career goal. Burns picked up an assist on the goal for a well-placed cross to the post. MCLA outshot Maritime 10-5 in the second half but were unable to trim the deficit thanks to stellar defense and goalie play by the Bucs. After 35 scoreless minutes following the second Maritime goal, the Bucs left the Berkshires with a 2-0 win.
