Men's Soccer Set To Take Pitch And Embark On 17-Match Schedule In Perry's 20th Season

The 2012 season will mark Greg Perry’s 20th campaign as Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Massachusetts Maritime, and the “dean” of MASCAC mentors welcomes back 17 letterwinners and seven starters as the Buccaneers take to the pitch for a 17-match regular season slate that begins on Labor Day Weekend.

Massachusetts Maritime opens its schedule on Friday, August 31st by hosting Curry in a non-league clash alongside Cape Cod Canal at Clean Harbors Stadium beginning at 4:00 p.m. EDT, as that contest kicks off a nine-match home slate that includes non-league affairs with Becker, Anna Maria, UMass Dartmouth and UMass Boston as well as MASCAC matches with Westfield State, Fitchburg State, Salem State and Framingham State.

The Buccaneers will tangle with Lesley, Nichols, Wentworth, Coast Guard and WPI in non-conference road play and will also pay visits to MCLA, Worcester State and Bridgewater State in league action.  The MASCAC championships have expanded to include a six-team field beginning this fall, as the conference tournament begins with quarterfinal round play on Tuesday, October 30th.
