BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Junior Matt Zangle's (Camp Hill, Pa.) goal with 2:51 remaining lifted Coast Guard to a 2-1 non-league college men's soccer victory over Massachusetts Maritime Friday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium.

Zangle deflected home a rebound from the middle on the game-winner for the visiting Bears (2-0) that came on a feed from senior Brandon McMillan (Peachtree City, Ga.), who had given Coast Guard an early 1-0 advantage in the 33rd minute by converting a penalty kick.  Sophomore James Gendrolis (Weymouth, Mass.) evened matters just 25 seconds after McMillan's marker for the host Buccaneers (1-1) on a pass from fellow sophomore Ryan Fischer (Marshfield, Mass.), and the match remained tied for the next 54-plus minutes until Zangle's heroics ended a defensive tussle.

Senior Tim Olah (Glastonbury, Conn.) picked up his second win of the season in goal for Coast Guard with a six-save effort, while sophomore Mark Mullaney (Bridgewater, Mass.) helped spark a solid defensive contest with a career-high seven stops in net for Massachusetts Maritime as the Bears outshot the Buccaneers by a 14-10 margin.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Leicester, Mass. on Wednesday evening to take on Becker in a non-league outing that begins at 6:30 p.m., while Coast Guard travels to Newport, R.I. on Wednesday afternoon for a non-league match with Salve Regina that begins at 4:00 p.m.
