Crew Squads Post Solid Performances In Perfect Conditions At Quinsigamond Snake Regatta

WORCESTER, Mass. -- Both Massachusetts Maritime crew teams took advantage of perfect conditions to post solid performances in their respective races at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta that took place on Lake Quinsigamond Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneer women’s varsity four consisting of senior coxswain James Lucenta (Yorktown, Va.), seniors Rochelle Gaudette (Fall River, Mass.) and Colleen LeFavor (Mashpee, Mass.), sophomore Olivia Swenson (Centerville, Mass.) and freshman Paige Decker (Nantucket, Mass.) posted a 17th place time of 25:12.5, while the Buccaneer men’s varsity four comprised of freshman coxswain Scott Jones (Lebanon, N.H.), senior Anthony Bratica (Milford, Mass.), sophomore Timothy O’Neill (Block Island, R.I.) and freshmen Sean Cunningham (Hingham, Mass.) and Edward Dunn (Acton, Mass.) finished 18th overall with a time of 17:02.9 in the event.
Massachusetts Maritime’s men’s novice four consisting of freshman coxswain Tyler Stiff (Westminster, Md.) along with fellow freshmen Owen Braley (Hingham, Mass.), Colin Desruisseaux (Southwick, Mass.), Gregory Couse (Sewell, N.J.) and Charles Malone (Media, Pa.), placed fifth overall with a time of 21:02.2.
Both Buccaneer squads wrap up their respective falls schedules on Saturday, October 29th at the Brandeis Halloween Regatta that begins at 9:00 a.m.
