Meghan Carter becomes the first woman to earn a spot in the Academy's Hall of Fame as a cornerstone of the Academy's fledgling intercollegiate rowing program.She began her rowing career as a freshman tri-captain on the club program in 1995.A starter on the varsity softball team that same year, Carter committed her efforts to rowing on a full-time basis as the sport was elevated to varsity status in 1996.She led MMA to an appearance in the ECAC Champion International Regatta and a fourth-place finish in a national field of 15 crews. earned an invitation to the U.S. National Identification Camp as a sophomore and was selected by the U.S. Olympic Coaches to row under their direction on the final day of the camp.
