Women's Cross Country Finishes Third in TFI

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- The Buccaneers women's cross country team took part in the 19th annual Travis J Fuller Invitational at Buzzards Bay Park on Saturday and picked up a top three finish in the meet. 

Sophomore Grace Condinho was the Bucs top finishing in 11th place with a time of 22:32.00. Massiel Leon and Lorelei Lee finished second and third, 13th and 14th overall. Lillian Luechauer came in fourth for the team, 17th overall and Mikayla Horvath finished in 21st to round out the Buccaneers top five runners.

Framingham State won the meet with three of their runners finishing in the top five and the next two in sixth and eighth. Johnson & Wales came in second with finishes at three, five, seven, 10, and 12 in the standings. The Bucs took home the bronze with a total time of 1:56.08 and an average finish of 23:13.60.

The Buccaneers are off until Saturday, October 12th when they will travel to Western Mass for the James Earley Invitational at Westfield State.
