Volleyball Drops Conference Match to Westfield State on the Road

WESTFIELD, Mass -- The Buccaneers played their conference match against Westfield on Wednesday night on the road. A tough Owls squad beat the Bucs in straight sets, 3-0.

Final: Owls 3, Buccaneers 0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-11)

Maritime

• Alanys Torres led the Bucs in kills with seven on the night. Fellow freshman Alaina Strozik tallied four for Maritime.
• Shayla Narodowg was the assists lead with 16 in the match.
• Marlo Stark and Sadie Garcia led the way with two aces each. 
• Defensively, Audrey Manning had a match-high 16 digs.

Westfield

• Sydney Cummins led all players with 13 kills. Hanna Nihill added 10 of her own.
• Julia Dangel-Garcia had a match-high 25 assists in the win.
• Allie Hill had four aces in the match.
• Chloe Schuld had 16 digs defensively to match the match-high.
• At the net, Sarah Bingham had four block assists.

The Buccaneers travel to WPI on Saturday to take on the Engineers in a non-conference match at 1pm.
