BOSTON, Mass. --  The Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team dropped a trio of 3-0 non-league decisions to Babson, Wheaton and host UMass Boston at the UMass Boston Beacons Invitational at the Clark Athletic Center.

Junior Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) notched six kills on the afternoon for the Buccaneers (0-17), who fell to Babson (10-7) by game scores of 25-10, 25-5 and 25-6 in the opener, to UMass Boston (16-4) by game scores of 25-3, 25-4 and 25-10 in the middle match and to Wheaton (12-10) by game scores of 25-4, 25-14 and 25-10 in the nightcap. 

Sophomore Samantha Foley (Forestdale, Mass.) and freshman Suzanne Marino (Kings Park, N.Y.) each added four kills and a solo block for Massachusetts Maritime, which also received 10 set assists from freshman Leanne Talbot (Norton, Mass.).

The Buccaneers head to Salem, Mass. on Monday afternoon for a MASCAC outing with Salem State that begins at 1:00 p.m.
