WORCESTER, Mass.-- The Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team dropped a pair of Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference matches on Saturday afternoon, falling by identical 3-0 finals to host Worcester State and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in league action at Lancer Gymnasium.

Freshman Samantha Foley (Forestdale, Mass.) notched a pair of kills and two aces in the setbacks for the Buccaneers (0-5, 0-3 MASCAC), who fell to the host Lancers (9-5, 2-0 MASCAC) by game scores of 25-4, 25-4 and 25-5 and to the Trailblazers (4-6, 1-2 MASCAC) by scores of 25-4, 25-4 and 25-7. Sophomore Allison Condino (Fitchburg, Mass.) added a pair of set assists and an ace as well on the day for the visitors.

Sophomore Brittany Ledoux (Nashua, N.H.) recorded 16 aces in the opening win for Worcester State, while junior Marta Brown (Glens Falls, N.Y.) notched 12 aces and 10 assists in the triumph for MCLA.

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Salem State in a MASCAC outing on Monday evening at Alumni Gymnasium beginning at 6:00 p.m., while Worcester State hosts Newbury in a non-league match on Tuesday evening at Lancer Gymnasium at 6:00 p.m. MCLA ventures to Chicopee, Mass. on Wednesday evening to take on Elms in a non-league outing at 7:00 p.m.
