WATERVILLE, Maine -- The Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team dropped a pair of non-league matches on Saturday afternoon by identical 3-0 scores to host Thomas and Maine Maritime in contests played at Mahaney Gymnasium.
Sophomore Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) registered six kills and three digs in the two setbacks for the visiting Buccaneers (0-16), who fell to the Mariners by game scores of 25-13, 25-8 and 25-11 before dropping a 25-16, 25-12 and 25-8 decision to the host Terriers in the nightcap.
Freshman Samantha Foley (Forestdale, Mass.) and Libby Buck (East Chatham, Mass.) each added three kills on the day for Massachusetts Maritime, who also received two kills and six service aces from sophomore Liz Kenny (Quincy, Mass.) as well as three service aces and seven set assists from sophomore Allison Condino (Fitchburg, Mass.).
The Buccaneers close out their first varsity season in two years on Tuesday evening by heading to Boston to take on Wentworth in a non-league match that begins at 7:00 p.m.
